Power Screening is an authorized dealer for Komptech’s full line of shredding, screening, turning, and separation equipment. We provide full service sales, rental, parts and service support at our Henderson, Colorado and Albuquerque, New Mexico locations.
Komptech is a leading technology supplier of machinery and systems for the mechanical and mechanical biological treatment of solid waste and for the treatment of biomass as a renewable energy source.
The Terminator is a low-speed, high torque, single-shaft shredder for all types of waste. The power plant of the Terminator is a modern Caterpillar engine. The hydraulic drum drive with load dependent speed control, creates maximum shredding force. The drum can reverse at any time to prevent blockages, redistribute material or clean the drum. The continuous cutting gap adjustment allows for the precise setting of the particle size for subsequent processing steps.
The Crambo is a low speed, high torque, dual shaft shredder for all types of waste. The dual shaft provides an aggressive feed while minimizing fines. The Crambo is powered by the latest Caterpillar engine. The output size is determined by simply exchanging screen baskets. The variable speed/ variable torque hydraulic drum drive system, ensures the Crambo runs at maximum efficiency.
The Topturn is one of the most widely used compost turners in the world. With the X series we are further extending our position. Inspired by customer feedback, this third generation of the Topturn offers top performance with complete comfort and convenience. An even sturdier telescopic frame, high performance hydraulics and generously dimensioned turning drum mean high throughput in all working scenarios. All engines meet the latest emissions standards (Tier 4 Final), and the new cooling system keeps everything cool even under heavy loads and high outside temperatures. Further plus points are the larger, more comfortable cabin, automatic drive for relaxed working, and the hydraulically extendable maintenance platforms for fast, easy maintenance.
Star screens have the ultimate flexibility in determining output product sizes. This is because the product size is infinitely adjustable depending on the speed of the stars. The organics market often requires multiple products at multiple sizes. Star screens become much more cost effective for this application. The other big requirement in screening organics is the ability to process wet material. Star screens are specifically designed to handle wet material that often blind up the drums of a trommel screen and the decks of a deck screen.
Komptech’s heavy duty trommel line was born out of the dirt and topsoil market and is designed for economical operation. Each machine is built to withstand the heavy rock and abrasive material found in topsoil. The drum screens rotating action break up the clods of dirt and rock. If necessary, adding the prescreening grizzly option adds further separation of larger material. Our product portfolio includes 6 models tailored to the requirements of the market. From the entry level Joker to the high throughput of the all-electric Cribus 5000, we have a trommel that can meet any demand. With many years of experience, Komptech’s drum screens reflect our focus on innovative technology and maximum customer benefit. There are extensive options available to meet a variety of specific needs, including wind sifters or grizzly attachments.
The mobile Hurrikan windsifters allow effective separation of plastic foils from over-sized screened particles. The patented “pressure-suction“ process enables an effective separation of light fraction from screening residues. In the first step, material is separated by an air knife. In the second step, the lightweight material is drawn off by a powerful suction blower. The suction performance is adjustable to material by variation of blower speed, blower distance and vent flaps. The quality of the recyclable oversized particles can be improved yet further by using magnet separation and a stone trap.
The Stonefex 3000 stone separator reliably and very effectively removes stones and inert items from biomass fuels. The input material is the usable biofuel fraction from a screener, for example woody green cuttings, screen residue from compost, or forestry chips. A patented system of pressure and suction blowers generates exactly the right air flow in the separation chamber to remove stones and heavy objects from the wood. Fractions that were previously difficult to use due to their high amount of stones can now be processed into fuel. Biomass processors profit from better customer demand for their fuels and higher sale prices.
